Commack Public Library

Commack, New York

Emtec provided designs for a completely new HVAC duct distribution system along with all new electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems at Commack Public Library.

Selective demolition was performed to reuse as much ductwork as possible, while still re-zoning the HVAC systems to best serve the new layout of the building. A new fire service was brought to the building which had no prior sprinkler coverage. In addition, sanitary ejector pumps were added to the basement level to allow for additional finished spaces to be built. All new LED lighting and lighting controls were provided throughout. Spaces included library stacks, quiet work areas, offices, board room, multipurpose room, and children’s areas.
