Emtec provided a comprehensive engineering evaluation of the existing MEP/FP systems, including infrastructure, equipment, and distribution, serving four fully operational Newscorp floors. The evaluation was performed to support the operations team by delivering a detailed technical report and associated drawings to inform a long-term, strategic preventive maintenance and capital upgrade plan. The scope included the development of phased upgrade recommendations for selected areas of the floors.

As part of the project, Emtec was also retained to audit, design, and implement compliance upgrades required under NYC Local Law 88, including lighting systems, lighting controls, and electrical metering. These upgrades and new fit-outs were executed under a phased approach across eight fully operational floors for Dow Jones and Newscorp, encompassing approximately 230,000 square feet.
