Emtec Consulting Engineers served as the MEP/FA engineer for the Sayville Union Free School District. They began the project with a comprehensive review and survey of the existing MEP systems, followed by a detailed report outlining recommendations and cost estimates to support the district’s bond referendum. After voter approval, the team designed full dual-fuel boiler system replacements across six buildings, including new vacuum condensate systems, boiler-feed systems, and fuel oil pumps. The scope also included new electric service design, fire alarm system upgrades, and complete classroom unit ventilator replacements to modernize and improve overall building performance.
